The Hunger eBook Review

I recently read and reviewed the eBook, The Hunger, by Michael D. Young. This isn't the style of book I usually read, but about midway through, I was wondering what was going to happen next.

We begin the story being introduced to, Jamith, a scholar ho is at the Twilight Library to learn the truth about Rahim, the deity of this world. Jamith learns that Rahim divided himself into 6 parts, 3 of light and 3 of dark, in order to keep his power in check. While during his stay at the library, Jamith also reanimates one part of Rahim, and her name is Evelet.

We are introduced to Azil, Jamith's best friend. Jamith sends Azil, and Evelet on an adventure to find a young orphan named, Kaval, who has been mistaken as a Lord. Azil and Evelet kidnap Kaval at a ball, and this is where this adventure begins.

Once the adventure began, it was really hard to put it down. It was a good read.

Forest Secrets eBook Review

I recently had the opportunity to read and review the book, Forest Secrets, by Laurie Woodward. In the beginning,  we are introduced to Daisy, a self proclaimed adventurer. She is exploring her new neighborhood and wonders off into the woods.  While exploring she meets Callianra, a tree girl, whom we later learn is of the Forest People. Callianra tells Daisy that she has been separated from Mama Maple and Daddy Dogwood, and of course, Daisy always looking for adventure agrees to help her find them.   Daisy, and Callianra meet Albert and GT him in on finding Callianra's family.
The trio stumbles upon illegal activities going on with the logging company and the local newspaper owner. They find out that the section they believe has Callianra's family is to be logged in 3 days, and boy does the adventure begins
.
This is a story of friendship and family. The author did a great job at telling the story and making the reader feel all the emotions the characters were experiencing.

I would definitely recommend the book to read.

Born to Trot YA eBook Review

I recently had the opportunity to read and review another great book by Ann Hunter called Born to Run. This one I would consider to be in the YA category but is still a great read. Full disclosure: I received this eBook for free or at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion. I am under no obligation to give a positive or 5 star rating.

I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. We are pulled into the world of a foster child named Alex, who we learn just killed the foster mom after she, the foster mom, killed Alex's best friend, Ashley. We follow as Alex takes off when she hears the police sirens, and runs until she collapses in front of the black iron gates of the North Oaks Horse Ranch.

Where Alex is taken in by the family, and meets two girls around her age, who introduces her to horses. She immediately falls in love with them and loves taking care of them. We continue to follow Alex's journey as she goes through a trial for killing the foster mom, and finding a family.

I would definitely recommend this book for preteens, etc. I can't wait to read the next one in the series from Ann.

Hidden in Shadows eBook Review

I recently had the opportunity to read and review the eBook, Hidden in the Shadows, by Claire Grimes. Full Disclosure: I received this eBook for free or at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion. I am under no obligation to give a positive or 5 star review.

We begin the story by being introduced to Lyssandra, a princess of the Unseelie court at her wedding feast to the Seelie Prince Maguis. Prince Maguis tries to assassinate her right off and fails. Later that night, Lyss along with her Redcap bodyguard, Kieran, barely escape an attack.

We find out that now King Maguis orchestrated the coup along with Lyss' cousin, Sebille. Lyss, and Kieran are hiding out in the mortal world, and seek out the witch, Sam. Sam allows Lyss, and Kieran to stay at her cabin where Lyss learns that she is not of the Unseelie court, but of the Shadow Court. Lyss made a deal with Sam and she sends her a nightwalker named Vincent. Lyss, Kieran, and Vincent are attacked twice at Sam's cabin and run to some friends of Vincent's, where they learn that Maguis has called "The Hunt" on Lyss.

We are left with Lyss, and Kieran fleeing to the Shadow Court, and Vincent saying, "I'll be fine. Now go."

I really enjoyed the book and can't wait to read the next in the series. If you like the Fae and otherworlders, I would recommend this book.

Got Luck ebook review.

I recently had the opportunity to read and review the ebook, Got Luck, by Michael Darling. Full disclosure I recieved this ebook at for free or a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion. I am under no obligation to give this ebook a positive or 5 star rating. I have to be completely honest at first I had a hard time getting into the story. However, by the end of the story, I couldn't put it down.

We meet Goethe Luck, who is a private investigator, and his love interest, Erin. We find out that they both belong to Fae world, however, Goethe doesn't know this. We follow the journey as Goeth learns how to use his powers and defeat evil, in which he saves both the Fae and Mortal worlds.

It was a very interesting story once I got into it and would recommend to those who love the Fae World.
