Born to Trot YA eBook Review

I recently had the opportunity to read and review another great book by Ann Hunter called Born to Run. This one I would consider to be in the YA category but is still a great read. Full disclosure: I received this eBook for free or at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased opinion. I am under no obligation to give a positive or 5 star rating.

I was pulled into the story from the very beginning. We are pulled into the world of a foster child named Alex, who we learn just killed the foster mom after she, the foster mom, killed Alex's best friend, Ashley. We follow as Alex takes off when she hears the police sirens, and runs until she collapses in front of the black iron gates of the North Oaks Horse Ranch.

Where Alex is taken in by the family, and meets two girls around her age, who introduces her to horses. She immediately falls in love with them and loves taking care of them. We continue to follow Alex's journey as she goes through a trial for killing the foster mom, and finding a family.

I would definitely recommend this book for preteens, etc. I can't wait to read the next one in the series from Ann.
